About the Artist

Jacob Yerex works in a variety of mediums and styles.  The work explores a cross over of material and technique incorporating painting, printmaking, drawing, and sculpture.  The non-objective work explores the tension between order and chaos on a material level, pushing materials past their conventional applications.  His subject based work references a sense of place, drawing inspiration from the local environment and travel.  He has also worked as a muralist and scenic artist in film and television.  Jacob is a Toronto based artist.  He studied at OCAD and The University of Guelph.  Many of his works are in local and international collections as well as prominent museums.
